It was very cloudy yesterday when I took these photos.
This is my Avon bush that I grew from a cutting, it has just starting really producing such beautiful blooms and I am very impressed with it. I reckon my camera didn't catch the true colour of it .
Jubilee Celebration
Sebastian Kneipp. This was one of the original own roots I first done around 8 years ago. I had it growing in a bad spot for a few years, but it survived and now it is doing really well in its' final spot.
Sonia Rykiel
William Christie. I thought this rose was a dud as it was slow to grow and the blooms were small and a bit ugly. I definitely don't think that now. I could chose between these two photos so I will post both of them too.

Elmshorn. Grown from a cutting taken from Jenny's garden.
Mme Drouit. A Tea climber, always seems to have blooms on it.
Lady of Megginch
This photo shows Lady of Megginch infront, behind it is my cutting of Souvenir de Mme Leonie Viennot ( I have edited the name I gave this rose as last night I wrote the wrong name ) I did during Summer 2008 in a pot with a bottle covering it. Behind it is Graham Thomas. To the left is the small bush and bloom of the New William Shakespeare, which is shown in the next photo.

Your "Avon" is very impressive & even more so considering it is powering away on its own roots.

I am a huge fan of "Angela" & "Nahema" & your pics remind me why! Oh & I have just added "Elmshorn" to my list of roses to get...love it!!!

Souvenir de Mme Leonie Viennot is a fantastic roase though our do not continuously flower. They do strike easy but watch it grow.
PS It is still raining here. We have had over 450 mm since last saturday.

Rip... 'Nahema grows super well for us down here in Tas... it's one of my favs. I don't spray at all and mine is pretty much clean as a whistle. One of its parents is 'Heritage' but 'Nahema's flowers don't shatter like 'Heritage' does and it has more petals with really really strong perfume. It's fertile and forms big fat hips easily though I have not been able to get the seeds to germinate yet.
Karen, the cuttings you sent me of 'Souvenir de MME Leonie Viennot' have all grown nicely... I gave one to a friend in SA and the other I've planted at the base of a large dead gum tree to grow up it. Gigantea is on the other side and I can't wait to see what the tree looks like over the coming years with Ms Viennot and gigantea twinning up through it all the way to top with a mix of blousy pink/coral flowers and large single white flowers hanging in trusses all over it.
The 'Angel' cuttings your sent struck but never made leaves. It was the strangest thing I've ever seen. The cuttings had roots but a large yellow bulge formed in the main stem that seemed to restrict the flow of material up the plant and it just never grew. Wouldn't mind trying it again one day too... I really want to try it in breeding.

Thanks Ripley, Angela is a great landscaping rose I reckon as it stands out from a distance. Also I think it makes a great cut rose.
Balinbear , I was amazed the other day how tall Souvenir de Mme Leonie Viennot had grown. I love the Autumn blooms of it at Lynette's garden. Wow, that is alot of rain !

I also look forward to seeing your tree covered with Gigantea and Souvenir de Mme Leonie Viennot too. I could send you some more Angela cuttings if you like ?

I love Jubilee Celebration, too. she's an unusual salmony pink and a really lovely bloom.

I am glad you liked them Abbi. Yes Jubilee Celebration is a great rose. I am glad to hear you are going to get a Angela.
