The rosewalk

Post by Barbara B on 20th March 2010, 12:03 am

Hi,
here's a photo of the rosewalk taken in 2007. The brushtail possums have moved in since then.

Thats gorgeous, Barbara.
Did you "relocate' your possum yet? They're so destructive. why can't they quietly nibble the leaves they can reach, instead of scrambling up the bush and ripping it apart, leaving mayhem in their wake.

I see you like iris too, so that tells me when the photos were taken. hope you haven't had too much possum damage since then.

In the top first of the two photos above, what's the lovely dark purple rose in the bottom left corner? It's great to see so may beautifully grown and well established roses.

You have a wonderful garden Barbara, the roses are magnificent! The soil and climate and your hard work have made them look very happy!

Hi,
I think that's Tusbcany Superb in the bottom left hand corner.
No, we haven't got rid of the possums and you should see what they've done to my climbers. We've bought a humane possum trap and will start trying to catch them. We're having a lot of damage from them and rabbits lately.
Thanks for your kind words Val.
