Margaret...'Ten Thousand Lights' failed :(
Hi Margaret... Despite the effort I made to try and get these cuttings to strike I was unsuccessful... they started wrinkling up and I couldn't stop it... I tried taking one of the buds off to graft but think I was too late (it had gone soft and spongy). If you don't mind I would like to try again after Christmas to bud some fresh wood to see if I can get them to take this way instead.
Re: Margaret...'Ten Thousand Lights' failed :(
The wood was a bit soft, as it was fairly early in the season. It should strike well from cuttings, so you could try it both ways next time. Just remind me when you're ready.
