Lambourne

Post by Ripley on 1st December 2009, 4:28 pm

Some pics I took today of a friends garden I sometimes help out in. Its looking its nicest atm as she is having an open garden this weekend for charity.

There are a lot more roses in it than you can see in these pics, mainly old fashioned, DA's and Delbards.

On the East Tamer Highway just after the George Town Road exit at Rocherlea, on the way to Dilston. The open day is to help out a dance school that is sending the kids to Disney Land to dance. A lot of the kids come from homes that couldnt afford it normally.

Its open this Saturday 5th Dec, lots of stalls with craft, plants and food. Hmm cant remember entry fee but about $5 i think(dont quote me!)

I hope your friend raises a lot of money for the kids. Visitors will certainly get their money's worth wandering around that beautiful garden.

Same here. Thanks for the visit. Hope they raise lots of money. There's lots of long hours behind an open garden as lovely as this one.
