Hello from Belgium
Hello,
I would like to share my blog with you :
http://a-little-bit-of-paradise.over-blog.com/
I'm a 44 years-old teacher and I love roses, especially Austin and old roses.
I'm french speaking (just to explain why my English could seem bizarre).
My blog is in French but you can use Google translator, it works well.
I like visiting forums abroad. I think I'll learn a lot on yours. Soon I'll have more time to come and read because here, winter is not far and gardening won't be my first occupation anymore till February.
Isabelle

Re: Hello from Belgium
Hello Isabelle. Wecome to Rosetalk. Well, finally i'm no longer the new kid on the block !! You will find the people on this forum are simply fantastic. I started growing roses and very quickly ran into troubles so i joined the forum for some help. As i live just outside of Mackay on the central Queensland coast, my climate is tropical, so i needed to know what it takes to grow roses in the tropics. The help i got from the people on here was just amazing !! I have since visited some of them on a recent trip down south. I visited Roseman and his wife Carole, Rosemeadow who lives not far away and is a walking rose encyclopedia, and Ozeboy. They gave their time and knowledge freely and i learnt so much from them !! They are all amazing people !!! Enjoy your time on Rosetalk and we hope to hear from you as often as possible.
Cheers.....Dave.

Re: Hello from Belgium
Hi Isabelle, I love the David Austins and old roses especially too. Also I am just 2 years older than you.
As for what Wedge said in his very welcoming post, I am only on the first page of book A of that encyclopedia, thank goodness I have the rest of my life to learn ( hopefully I will live a long life in my garden) and these forumns to meet many roserians from all over Australia and the World.

Isabelle, You site is wonderful, so tranquil right down to the music.
I am envious because you have the climate to grow some of the most beautiful cool weather roses.

It's easy : go to Google English, write my adres : http://a-little-bit-of-paradise.over-blog.com/ and then on the right to "Le blog d'Isabelle", click on "translate this page" and then you have my whole blog translated.
Thanks all of you for your warm welcome
