Re: Bearded Iris and roses
Here's one of my iris beds, some are still in pots but I'll wait till they've flowered before I plant them out. Lots of buds!

Re: Bearded Iris and roses
Val the top one looks like a member of the Japonica family, is it variegated ?

There are some tiny Japonicas in the front of the bed, yes they are variegated. There's a pic earlier in this thread.
Re: Bearded Iris and roses
That's a lovely beardie Val. I noticed I have some about to bloom here too:
This one is Coral Point... a coral pink colour:

This one os 'Peaceful Waters'... a light blue colour (reminds me of a forget-me-not). Couple of others too....

They are lovely strong plants Simon. It's exciting waiting for the buds to open. Gaelic Jig will be my next one, it's been teasing me all day with its half open petals.
Re: Bearded Iris and roses
Thats a nice iris, Val.
I like the way the standards hold together in that crown shape, while the falls overlap. Lovely colours too.

Re: Bearded Iris and roses
Here's Gaelic Jig at last. Also 2 surprises, little pacific Coast Irises, very sweet and pretty.

Re: Bearded Iris and roses
We had a terrible storm here yesterday and I have now staked all the flower stems of my Irises, one or two got a bit of a lean to them.
I got 8 new irises from Impressive irises, 2 of them were bonus plants. I find their prices very good.

Great Iries photos, everyone !
On Saturday I visited a small Iris farm
and I have asked them to hold me 26 different Iries for me.
They are still only $5. each . The lady had 3 photo albums of
Iries to look at, as they were't out just yet.

What a simply gorgeous colour Simon! It looks good enough to eat
I love the shade of the beards too - they complement the petals.
Re: Bearded Iris and roses
I have sent another order to Impressive irises
Theirs are such value for money. The $5 ones I got they only charged me $4 each and 2 bonuses. They are having a clearance sale at the moment - any 10 from a certain group for $20. I couldn't resist! The rest of their range is very competitively priced too.
This weekend is the first one of Tempo Two's open day weekends at Pearcedale in Vic. I will of course be going
I'm going to look for some more little Pacific Coast Irises.
PS. Don't tell Carole she will shoot me

Re: Bearded Iris and roses
This morning's gift, but the labels got mixed up and I don't know it's name. It's a beauty.
