Most of the early ones are finished. I still have some that haven't budded, and maybe they won't till next year. I have another order from Impressive Irises arriving next week!

Yep... my early ones are done... waiting for a few more that I too am thinking may not till next year now... early days yet. It is interesting to note, Val, that you and I seem to be closer together in timing of our iris flowers than we are with our rose flowering. We seem to be a good month or more behind you guys with our roses but seem more in-synch with the iris. Anyone know the best time to move bearded iris?

I was told that after they've finished flowering is OK to move them Simon. That was from a pot to a bed, maybe not from a bed to elsewhere.

Best time is in summer( and as O40 says after flowering) so they have the autumn to reestablish themselves for next year.

Oh wow! I never knew that iris can rebloom...awesome!!!

Nothing betters a garden of roses & iris (and perhaps just a few other choice plants) IMO!

I've even got iris about to start flowering in pots Shocked

Hi Simon,
Yes this season looks very promising here too. I've got one in bloom and several fat buds both in pots and in the ground.

Hi,
my irises are only just beginning to flower. There isn't any colour showing yet. Yours are a bit ahead of mine. Isn't it a lovely time of year?

Yes, Barbara, Spring is a great season! Something new in the garden every day. Smile
Ozrose, it's difficult to keep them at the right depth isn't it? Too low and they rot in wet soil or don't flower well. Too high and the rhizome scorches in the sun. Exclamation

Don't know much about them Val , only that I like them. Bought a couple of doz. different ones at the Iris nursery out the otherside of Collie a couple of years ago . I had flowers after I planted them but not much since. Now I know why. Embarassed
