Thanks, Doug!

So now I have questions....
* Is it more desirable/necessary to have foliage with the bloom?
* For cultivars like the DARs is it acceptable that they "nod", would you wire them?
* Some of our judges at ag shows get rather precious about not having the stem touching the mouth of the vase/bottle. Are they just being a pain in the butt. Wink

Oh, the advantages of having a wide range of roses.... I was able to field an entry in the "Container of roses" ... Wink (Front entry. Probably shouldn't have put a Mme Gregoire Staechelin in the front of the container but I was busy and in a rush. Razz )

Oh, but you guys are *professionals*... not like us dinky little ag show people!

(We have to work with just having old green beer bottles and stuff! Wink Wink )
If I ever sprayed my roses I guess I'd get more foliage in... :/

Wendy the AQ and I started just like you in the Penrith Show in 1987 showing her father's roses. Clean foliage arranged gracefully is an advantage. The big fault with many of the David Austins have weak stems and they hang their heads. In society shows the only roses allowed to be wired are the exhibition class and this is under revision.
