I'm new... Hello :)

Post by Alli on 12th April 2015, 21:57

Hi I'm Alli, today I walked out of my local garden centre, with a "Chameleon Rose" .  I just couldn't help myself, it was so pretty...ok, it had no smell, but I can forgive it that lol.

Now all I have to do is keep it alive.....so here I am.  I have been searching the web for rose stuff, but thought it a good idea to join a forum so I can ask questions about things that I'm not sure of and stuff...

Well I'm off to look round the forum now, to find out what I do next to it, repot, leave it alone, fertilize... you get the idea... I really would like to keep it alive and healthy

Another Queenslander has discovered that you do not have to have a Bali inspired garden to live in the Sunshine State.

Welcome and hope we can help.

Welcome aboard Alli, you will find that this forum will be an amazing benefit to you.

As for your Chameleon rose ( I too have one ), I generally pot mine in pots of a size of at least 40cm, preferably 50cm or over. If you do re-pot, I would only give it a feed of Fish Emulsion at this stage of the year. At pruning time, I would just do a very very light prune then when new buds appear give it a fertilise with something like Neutrog Strike Back for Orchids. Hope this helps.
