So what Vivienne has said is the Swiss Nursery actually grow the roses in pots not like the big growers who plant them out, grow them and then dig them up for despatch as bare rooted roses. I would imagine the most cost effective way relates to scale.

Yes that appears so Doug, I would assume they start the stock in the pot and then bud it in the pot.
