Random Buys

Post by Happy roses on 19th December 2013, 09:01

I went to Big W to help buy toys etc. for Christmas and made the mistake of wandering into the plant section with no intention of buying anything. The staff was discounting plants to get rid of them and I went home with Afternoon Delight for $5. I'm still trying to work out how that happened as it was not a rose I was after.. Anyone have this and how is it?
Who else went home with a rose they didn't intend to buy?

Yes we picked up a couple of Delbards from the bargain bin at Bunnings for $5. Pink Intuition (about 600mm high and has about 6 flowers on it at present) and another one who's name escapes me.

We took them home and gave them a feed and they are going great. We will put them in the ground over Christmas.

We purchased a "Love It" recently for $12. It was in big pot and about 1 meter round and 800mm high and covered in flowers. A nursery that was closing down had it on sale. Its in the ground now and going great.
