My Soul Mate rose update for Roseman

Post by paulh on 15th October 2013, 23:53

Here you go Roseman, I know you like Soul Mate, she has come up really well after here prune, the blooms are larger this year and the colour is more intense. I don't know about the fragrance, none so far.

Well done Paul, I will get a shot of mine, it won't be as good as yours due to lack of attention mine receives

Paul, you give me cause for some regret. I confess that I succumbed to a tempting offer to swap my Julia Child for another Valencia and - many will not believe - an Ebb Tide, the latter I swore never to have, but just couldn't resist trying the scent in the end.

You are a rose grower with an exceptional touch.

Paul, I know how you feel. It is nice to have somewhere to come if you are needing a little advice or if sometimes you can share your own experiences.

Paul, what a glorious looking plant. Well done! That is exactly the shape and growth habit I like in my roses.

Thanks Silky for that, one thing I like about the blooms, is that they last heaps long on the plant and the get a lovely pink tinge on the edges. So I tend to leave the blooms on for a while to get that effect.

Sort of gives another dimension to the overall plant doesn't it. I like that effect too.
