It's not a rampant grower. We have two growing on stands. With a bit if a trim you can keep it under control.

It looks a bit strange at the moment but as a bit of an experiment I pruned it a bit in winter and tied it up so it would tend to be more upright in the light to encourage more branches. I will remove the top tie in the next couple of weeks and let it settle back onto the top of the stand. I may trim the longer canes a little (you can do that up here no matter what time of year) to shape it a bit as well.
