China Hybrids

Post by Guest on 6th May 2013, 21:26

I have over the years done a number of China Rose Hybrids. This first one is a Safrano X Mutabilis it has been used in breeding programmes with good success. Bloom size is around 4".

This second one is a Undisclosed X Mutabilis some blooms can go well over 4.5" in diameter.

A seedling of a Mutabilis X Mutabilis and then chromosome doubled using Trifloralin, this is the result which never stops flowering. I call it my GM rose.

Just love the colour of that first one Ozroz. 4" blooms Wow. Any fragrance? I know very little about China hybrids so it's intriguing you can breed such beauties.
