Hi David,

After our phone discussion the other night I thought you might be interested in this article on what makes a sport (re: 'Burgundy Iceberg'): Article.

He hasn't mentioned something I've been reading about lately called epigenetic mutations but I still haven't got my head around this fully so won't go into it. The challenge is to see if we can get the sported mutated DNA into the right layers so that it can be inherited.
