hi silky ,
well as you would know orpheline de juliet is a gallica, an old rose .. it is a rose that is very suitable for pots .. grows moderatly high around 4 feet .. the perfume is a of a damask , the colour does go deeper when the weather is mild . i find it healthy so far .. this is its 4th flower this year .. so thumps up from me

Both of mine didn't do too well. One died and one is in a pot. So I am very interested to see how yours goes. I might buy another bare rooted one. Although a lady at a nursery up here said that they need heat control? I am assuming she means it may be too hot up here?

i dont think thats the case rosy .. mine gets lots of sun.. guess you have a different climate .. i would try it in a pot rosy and perhaps give it a bit of shade and see how it goes .. we have a standard one at work that has 3 flowers on it , one is pure red the other yellow .. they do revert to other colours ..i dont like that .. but after all when it shows whats its meant to , it is a pretty little rose

It's currently in a pot and not doing any better than the ground unfortunately. It is possible it was just a dud in the first place.

It has only just been potted a couple of months ago and didn't like that too much. I would be scared to move it again with the heat we have here Sad
