Flashing Add

Post by The Lazy Rosarian on 23rd January 2009, 08:31

Simon on some part of the forum I had a flashing add that said I had won an Ipod or something, it was in blue and when I tried to close it, it would not. I had to unsubscribe to something that I did not know that I had. If you want some monies to keep this sort of thing off your sight just let me know.

G'Day David,

That flashing ad should only be visible when you are not logged in and now, since Deb mentioned it yesterday, I have turned off the ability for them to put pictures and videos so I am hoping there will be no more flashing anything... just text. Because the forum software is free I need to allow ads but I can customise it so the ads only show to people when they are not logged in. I can purchase credits through the company (not sure how much it costs yet) to remove ads from everywhere for up to 12 months... doing so opens up some more customiseable options as well but so far the only thing I have bought for the forum is extra server space for teh gallery (which is running low again and I'll need to pruchase more space for the gallery to keep expanding).
