My Firefighters are just about to open their buds, and already the perfume is detectable close up to the furled buds. Blackberry Nip (new to me this year) had three buds also still furled, but no scent yet coaxable from them. What's your opinion so far on BN, jordan???

firefighter had a very slow start for me betsy .. got a bit of blackspot and recovered quickly.. the scent is nice .. on the other hand BN is a better darker rose with a powerfull perfume . i would place it in part shade as the blooms will get burned in the sun .. but otherwise i'm really happy with it .

This one is in a pot and was one of the unfortunate ones who almost died in the sweltering heat. When I first got it, it was SO healthy, grew quickly from a bare root. It's only just now coming back to life. The flowers are smaller than I thought and also little to no scent. Not my favourite, but a nice colour Smile How do you find it?

Mines in the ground Jordan , we'll have to compare , it has some buds and the bush is a reasonable size for a new plant this year ....
