We might be getting into spring, the rose above can/could be one of two roses, either, Cecile Brunner/Bloomfield Abundance. The original wood for this rose came from Ruston's, so he either has one or the other.
The one below is 'Golden Showers'. first bloom for this Spring. more blooms to come

Thanks Paul, yes I have room , but wish they would start flowering a bit earlier. In your complex do you have any common area, maybe sneak something in there.

When I ran out of space in my old garden, a good-sized town hose yard, and started to plant my roses outside the gate and fence, the neighbors were really happy Ė it changed the place in a good way.

Hi .. roseman... unfortunately there is no commom are in our complex..it is a small complex with just 6 units...fortunately for us our unit is a free standing unit...like a small house...and we have more outdoor space than the others...

Having said that...while we were at the WA Rose Societies show (I've posted some cool photos on the forum) my wife jotted down some names of roses she says we need to go and buy.... where are we going to fit them

Paul, I believe that vertical gardening is the new thing. Maybe you could stagger pots up the wall? lol
Jaci I love the frilled petals of Angel. Yours looks nice and healthy.
Looks like Heaven Scent is also frilly. Does anyone have any experience of Heaven Scent?

Fuuny you should say that roseman... I was eying of an empty space that divides our properties, just a small section that I could have put 2 roses in....blow me down I went out the front the other day and he's only put a large pot with a ponytale palm in it. He asked later if I didn't mind....Oh what could I say... Na he's a nice old fella

Thanks Silky and Danny, the colours of AF are a bit out as the photos were taken in drizzly rain Ė the leaves are not quite as dark in normal light and when dry, but itís a very pretty rose with a nice fragrance that would blend anywhere.

Paul, Give your neighbor a tour through your garden to let him smell your beautiful roses and when he complements them, offer to share them with him. He has no idea about your rose/space dilemma and probably asked, if his palm was OK there, because he sincerely wanted to know, if it was. Tell your neighbor his palm is very nice and that you could have an even nicer option. Negotiate Ö he might prefer to have a rose there, too.
