Modern but in the Noisette Form

Post by Guest on 8th September 2012, 16:35

I really like the Noisette bloom form and in my endevour to be different , try and create colours which were not common in noisettes palette of colour. The first one you will regonize from a previous thread and is in the typical noisette pallette.

This second one came from an unusual match up of Baronne Ed Rothschild X Curly Pink, the form is isimilar to the noisette , but the colour is very much stronger than original types.

There are a few more with this form and as they develope this season I will post them on this thread.

This is one I posted a long time ago it was a cross of Duchese de Montebello X Blue Moon, I was after a lilac old garden type rose.
The lilac is visible in the plant pic, the bloom photo does show a little lilac, this plant has never grown any taller than 2 ft and 2ft wide

Warren has it got any perfume, if it has, I reckon that is a bonus. In the shot of the plant, how old is it there. As you mention it is 2 x 2, with smaller gardens it would fit in fantasticly. I do like it Warren.

It has perfume Dave and the plant is around 5yrs old, it never gets any larger than that. I should put it on some vigorous rootstock and see if it changes. This cultivar only flowers in spring and that is it.

Yep, it suppose to have china in it and I thought the repeat would have been good, or it does this to me so I appreciate it more because of the yearly blooms.
