Grey nomads and roses in Qld

Post by Bonita18 on 25th June 2012, 19:08

This afternoon I spent some time talking with a retired citrus farmer here at Burrum Heads which is north of Hervey Bay and south of Bundaberg. His roses, all Ht's were very healthy and the blooms large in size. He told me the many grey nomads around here with those number plates that read The place to be - are amazed at his roses.

No but by the look of the well manured raised rosebeds which he said he keeps moist and his spraying regimen I think that would explain it.
He sprays with Mancozeb, Copper Sulphate and Lime Sulphur regularly which is the secret in a humid climate where he is less than 100 metres from the water in a sub tropical climate.
