The Offspring of Elara X Queen Elizabeth

Post by Guest on 12th June 2012, 20:56

Elara is listed in the Thirteen Variations and is a rose which I use if I want to add a stack of petals to offspring and gives various results similar to its mother Wendy when used as the pollinator. Elara's petal count is 80+ and its offspring can inherit these numbers as well. The beauty with Elara is, although it has no perfume most of its offspring have myrrh to fruity fragrances.

This is an unnamed seedling 08 7C 42D and has a mild myrrh perfume

Conch Pink ( Strong fruity scent)

Glam Queen

This has an intense myrrh fragrance

There are a few more of this cross which I am still trialing. What I am trying to point out in this thread and the other two is, when you find a rose which gives you so much , use it wisely and look after it, they only come around once in a blue moon.

Warren, great result, will have to add 'Elara' to my list. Thanks for the information.

Would appear you haven't given 'Elara' to anyone as yet. Are you going to keep it for yourself or let others have it?
