WA Autumn Rose Show Championships 2012

Post by neptune on 5th May 2012, 08:03

This weekend is the Autumn Rose Show here in the west. The weather is lighting/thunder and pouring with rain which might keep a few people away,...but lets hope there is a break in the weather this afternoon so people can come and smell the roses.

Lucky we raced out in the rain on thursday afternoon and picked the blooms before it bucketed down. now its up to the judges to see how we go....

We won the Autumn State Champs

Also a lot of success in the other Divisions.

It was a good effort by everyone to have even roses there ....especially with the torrential rain we had for two and a half days before the show.

Also Anna needs a BZ for her effort in the Floral Art as you can see in the last photo........oh....and Dave....we got five of those pretty ribbons..... Woohoo

Thank's Neptune for bringing us the WA results. I'm not artistic enough for showing roses but enjoy the results of others.

Fantastic effort John and Anna ; so pleased for you.
My 'puter is having internet connection problems again Mad so I am reduced to using Kevin's laptop again and it is so slow when it comes to loading up photo's to view but what I have seen of yours , the display looks wonderful.
Like you say , the weather was a bit inopportune , given that we were hanging out for rain lol. When did you pick your flowers ?
