I revamped the entire back garden over a few months and went through all my OLD flower seeds in the garage, most sent for forum friends from various gardening forums and scatter over 3000 seeds just to get rid of them. I have done the rub sniff taste test and deff. not tomatoes, plus growing far to vigorous for this time of year, guess we'll have to wait and see Rolling Eyes

I have had another smell and no tommie smell to them, I wonder if it came in the mulch which was half and half of mushroom and eucalyptus ?

Nothing like a good mystery to keep you on your toes!
I know some things can look like tomatoes at that stage - I was looking at the base of the stem and it looked appropriately furry like a tomato.
Time will tell!!

No I don't think it is funny Carole , I treated it as a serious question ; but I will take it over to Doug at OzGrow as he is my tomato guru and see if he chooses to respond.
Failing that , I can post the pic on the American site " Tomatoville" .

Well I still dont know, they are certainly looking like tommies now but dont smell like your typical tommie plant does, .......I will be pulling them all out and keeping just a few to pot up into the glasshouse over Winter Crying or Very sad I have another seedling you may be able to help me with, I'll post a pic later. All the poppies came up, 1000's and the hollyhocks too, they where 5 years old those seeds and a few other mystery ones, should be a great show become Autumn.

Oh Carole I saw your post but was not sure how to take it, was it directed at me ? If so I would not have made the post if I was not serious ?

Foxglove leaves are more lance shaped, I would 80% say Borage for sure, especially that rough texture to the top of the leaf.
