Alchymist sport

Post by Poesie on 25th March 2012, 01:25

Last year I was surprised to see one flower of Alchymist in just yellow color.
It think it's so unusual, that it might be a sport.
I've buded it and this year we will see.
I have never heard of any yellow Alchymist sport before. What do you think?

Poesie, this is a wonderful looking rose, I do hope it flowers yellow from the one's you have budded. I have been to HMF and placed link below for you/everyone to have a look at. If you look at the seed parent side it is yellow. Go back along the seed parent side all the way back and it seems to stay yellow.
When Warren(Ozroz) reads this he might shed some further light on it.

Poesie, if you keep this rose growing are you going to try and get a nursery to take it on and sell it. Question

Roseman now I'm not so far in my plans.

But if I keep it growing, my wish would of course be to share it with other people later in the future (nursery). My friend who also lives near by, has a striped sport of L. D. Braithwaite (red and pink). I can send you some pictures. We aren't sure of the procedure necesary to register a sport, what would you do in our place?
