I'm after two roses that apparently were brought in and released by Swanes.
The first one is called 'Julia Child'. Swanes brought it in as 'Soul Mate' in 2009. You can see it here: http://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=2.37391.1
The other one is a striped rose called 'George Burns' but again Swanes seem to have sold it as 'Rodeo Clown' (registerd as 'WEKcalroc' - http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.2929).
If someone is going to Swanes and sees them can they buy it for me and I'll reimburse you and I can have it sent down here.
Thanks in Advance.

Best chance is Bruce, he is just around the corner from them.
'Julia Child' has great potential IMO

'Soul Mate' is listed in their Winter 2010 catalogue as sold out.
Will call during the next few days and get the most up to date catalogue.
Green E Plants just 2 klm from them have a lot of Swanes roses even when Swanes have sold out. Will have a look around the district during the next week.

don't put yourself out... was just hoping if people are going on 'rose-crawls' they might be able to keep an eye out for them.

Simon Swanes want $29.99 each for 8" potted roses, must be a gold nugget in the pot somewhere. The 8" are the cheapest and the dearest I noticed were $195.00 in a very large ornamental pot. The bagged roses range from $17.95 to $21.95 and are available May to August.
They present their products so well, the nursery, resturant and service is second to none. They cater for the top end retail buyer who wants a new rose garden day after their new house is finished.
I'm a bagged rose buyer and never get that desperate to invest $30 on a 8" pot.

Did you go there today, Bruce? Were these two among the 'treasures'?
