Do you reckon Nahema isn't a big whippy rose???
.
I have both Nahema and TotD. Both equally hip-productive.

I grow 'Nahema' as a climber on a trellis. It has long straight strong stems here... quite stout.. it is growing with minimal tying back due to the straight strong growth. It doesn't form long arching whippy canes here.

Well, yes. All too straight really for my purposes - I was trying to grow Nahema on a very tall tripod and all the flowers ended up way overhead...until the tripod tipped over in a high wind at which point it had very arching whippy canes. I'm still trying to work out what to do with her as I haven't room there to let her rip.

But TotDs can also be grown as a climber very satisfactorily. If you peer closely at my picture you will see that the new shoots are big strong things going straight up. They don't arch over until they're very long and heavy with a cluster of flowers.
