Yes, more photos would be great! Try to take a range of photos including leaves (new and old), stems (new and old), thorns (new and old), buds at various stages of development, new flowers and mature flowers, shots of the undersides of flowers and leaves, shots od the base of leaves (stipules), hips if any, etc. These are the kinds of images that improve the chances of a successful ID Thumbsup

Hi Tamara,

This is what my Green Ice looked like last summer. It has this winter fallen prey to powdery mildew so I have just given it a severe haircut before resorting to binning it.

It starts off with quite light green buds and blooms but in winter can tend towards light pink.

Do you mean the centres in the 5th photo?
I am not sure I was wondering if this was caused by all the rain we had in the last 2 weeks

Can you tell us a little about it? How long have you had it? etc. It reminds me of some of the Rosa Nova Parade Roses or Patio Hit roses bred by Poulsen.

Hi Simon I have only had it about three months, it came with the tag Parade rose, that is why I am curios to find out which rose it might be

The Parade Roses are notorious for this. Each of them have their own names but the distributors never put them on the tags. Most of the newer ones are PBR protected but they never retain it for long. There are a few different Poulsen roses series and they all seem to get lumped in together here in Australia as Parade Roses. I bought one called 'Alicante' which is a PatioHit series rose with a Parade Rose label. I found out what it was by taking photos and emailing them to Poulsen's directly.

Have a look at this website: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Here's a few more tips:

* In the section called 'Variety' put in the letters 'Poul' and Hit search. This will bring up all the Poulsen roses in Australia with a PBR (Plant Breeder's Rights.. like a plant patent). Have a look at the images that come up with them to see if any come close. Not all have images and might need to cross reference them in HMF.

* Have a look at Poulsen's website. This is a link to the Parade series: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The other series of roses can be found in the list of links on the left side of the website.

* go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and in the search field put the word 'parade' and change the search filtering to 'contains'. This will bring up all the roses with the word 'parade' in their name. A lot of these will be Poulsen roses.

Don't rule out the PatioHit roses because as I mentioned above the Australian distributors don't seem to distinguish between the various roses in different series and just lump them togther (so 'Andromeda Hit', which is part of the PatioHit series, could well have been bought as a Parade Rose).

Hope this helps some Smile
