Thanks Guys, Simon I'm pleased you like this one. Com Red Study seems to last for forever in a vase. None of the parents have fragrance.

David I have a short term loan of my sons camera. I used to be a full on portrait photographer and belonged to the Newcastle Photographic Soc but technology changes like myself for example

Not having a camera is very limiting, have had a lot of goodies that would have been of interest. Will try to do better in future.

Warren I am always very interested in your seedlings, how else can a fledgeling breeder like myself learn. I follow yours and Simons breeding information with great interest.

Simon some of the previous lots of seedlings from 'Superba' varied from flat singles to 40 petals so hope yours is a good one.

That is very pretty Bruce, I like it very much, such a soft pink colour.
I thought you got a camera last Christmas or the Christmas before but perhaps it was just on your wish list for Father Christmas .
Our camera is about 8 or 10 yrs old a little Olympus one. I have been thinking of asking Father Christmas for a new one but I dont want a complicated one just one that I point and click. lol!

Beautiful rose Bruce!

Since you have the camera now, could you please take some pictures and show us how you do your special chip budding.

The results of a cross done a few years back, every year its getting better, (Whiz Kid X Lorainne Lee)

This rose here has been kept for breeding purpose only in the attempt of breeding HT type roses for sub tropical regions, the cross is (Baronne Ed Rothschild X Mutabilis)

Warren,
Trialing is great But I do feel you should consider the Central West as I am sure that the MUdgee area would be the best place for your trials flower

I am only trying to help

This one I have been in two frames of mind, the bloom is huge, 5" in diameter and has a strong perfume.

This yellow is very shrub like in growth and is completely thornless.

Another which I am in two frames of mind

This next one was a cross to get thornless roses. Arjuna is dk red and Smooth Buttercup is yellow. Thorns are reduced, but what colour did I get, Mauve like Blue Moon , which is the pollinator of Arjuna.

Warren my favourite is Charles Austin X Vanilla, it is fantabulous.
Coming second is the Arahar X Mme Caroline Testou.

Wendy when its in full bloom, you can see it for miles, like a big neon light , its so bright. I am thinking of calusing some cuttings of a lot of my roses and sending them out to various people like a rose bank just incase something happens to the mother plant here in Deniliquin, so they do not become extinct.

Well Warren I reckon that they definitely need testing on the other side of the continent.
I reluctantly will volunteer some space in my garden to try them out. Roses

Good question.

Mexican Wave

Dream Catcher looks a cutie.
And I really REALLY want The Duchess. To go on my dog's grave. We always called her The Duchess. *begs*

(I'd actually take any. It's very disturbing that I am not seeing any I don't like.... Willy )
