Something Different

Post by Guest on 15th September 2011, 07:42

This is a cross I did last year, though it was a late seedling, it is now really starting to move this spring and flowering well. Will be interested to see how it goes by November with a bit more growth.

The cross is (Wendy X (Europeana X Othello)) X Dr A J Verhage

I like that one because my first love is high centered fragrant dark red to scarlet blooms, hopefully on healthy bushes.

Howdy Bruce;
The bloom photograph was taken in very bright sunshine so the colours are a bit washed out, to the naked eye it is scarlet. The rose bush has sent up two larger canes so the bloom size should be of better quality next time. Its still a very young plant , but I feel by the end of summer it will look completely different.
