The "Best" label mix-up you've had?

Post by AutumnDamask on 9th June 2011, 20:40

For purchased roses:

Mme Hardy instead of Tuscany Superb. 2 years in a row. Laughing

Constance Spry instead of Queen of Denmark. Twice.

Rosa longicuspis var. sinowilsonii (now that I know what it is) instead of Aimee Vibert.

I got 'Popcorn' instead of 'Si'... but this one takes the cake:

I bought a climbing rose labelled as 'Climbing Angel Face' and put it in and tended it carefully for two years to get a flower and when it did... it was 'Dr Huey' and not how you might expect! It was 'Dr Huey' grafted onto 'Dr Huey"!!! It was clearly a grafted rose. To add insult to injury it also turned out to have RMV... it got shovel pruned straight away.
