Singles can produce something nice

Post by Guest on 21st May 2011, 10:41

This is a rose seedling from last year, colour is similar to Baronne Prevost as with its killer perfume. The seed parent was a plain lemon yellow single cross of (Charles Austin x Baronne Prevost) , I never had the heart to shovell it as I thought with the right cross it might produce something nice, plus it is extremely fertile.

This the offspring of that cross, the bloom pic could be better .

(Charles Austin X Baronne Prevost) x Baronne Ed Rothschild

I'm not far from Longrenong and do all my shopping in Horsham. I'm out on the Rupanyup/Glenorchy Road. We have Longrenong students living in a vacant farm house(absentee landlords) next door, they took on jobs locally over Summer and I must say we had the best Summer ever with them there. My husband handed his guns in but the students would shoot every day at dusk to chase the birds away. Bliss not to be woken by hundreds of screeching cockatoos and corellas every morning at daybreak. Very Happy
