My camera wish

Post by Ripley on 24th February 2011, 09:23

Ive been looking at buying a dSLR camera to learn how to take beautiful garden and plant photos like you all here. Ive decided on a Nikon D3100 kit. It comes with an 18-55mm VR and 55-300mm VR lenses plus extras for about $1200. My local camera shop says its a very good entry level camera and very good for learning with. What do you all think of my choice? It will be a while before I get it as I will have to layby it. Rolling Eyes

Im dying to try something creative and I love garden photography so I hope Im reasonably competent at it. Very Happy When i finally do get the camera there are some good adult education courses Id like to try, especially one on macro photography.

Sorry Ripley, can't help with Nikon's - am a Canon gal, goes with my explosive nature Very Happy

You may like to try this site for camera information, I find it good and the people are helpful on the forums if you need to ask questions.

Hope this helps. Now I must go out there and mow the lawn and pamper the garden a little as its been neglected the past few weeks.

I'm also a Canon user but have used a few of the Nikon dSLR at work. They are nice units and easy to use. I find the lenses and other accessories for Nikon to be cheaper... even for the high end pro gear.
