The Events Forum!
I'm happy to announce the new Calendar service. The Events forum is linked to the Calendar. This means that when somebody enters a date on the calendar a post automatically appears here in the Events forum. People can reply to this and the orginal poster can edit it. Of course the calendar is moderated and only rose related events should be published. The forum is set up to automatically add members birthdays. Member usernames will appear on the calendar (like mine on the 24th of December... don't send money... roses will do just fine
) and you can click on them for more information. The idea is to put together a list of rose related events around the country to help promote them and announce them to a wider audience. The calendar won't be archived so there will be a permanent record of events.
There are a few ways to enter events on the calender. This is the easiest:
1. This icon,
at the top of the page is the calendar icon. Clicking on this will open the calendar.
2. Find the date of the event and click on the small icon that looks like this;
.
3. Give the event a title and enter the details below it and send it and it will be entered both on the calendar and in this events forum as a new post.
There are other ways but I will let you explore these once you've got the hang of it
