Karen... Your 'Angela'...
Hi Karen,
It's good to see you back online
I was just wondering whether your plant of 'Angela', from which you sent cuttings last season, sets lots of small hips? I have cuttings of a rose that has a flower that is very similar and the parent plant was covered in hips, though the leaves are a little 'out' looking a little more like a rambler than a floribunda.
The cuttings from your plant have struck and have been potted up ready for spring too
This is the flower from the cuttings. It's getting old and there weren't many of them. The bush was about 3-4ft tall and wide and quite compact.

Re: Karen... Your 'Angela'...
Simon, I am not sure that I read your post right. Do you mean that the flower you have pictured is from a cutting Karen sent you last year. How could it have grown to a plant 3 to 4ft wide and high in one year when if it was only a cutting you had to first get it to root
I have got confused , havn't I?

Re: Karen... Your 'Angela'...
Hi Simon, its grea to hear your cutytings of Angela took.
From your picture I don't thing your unnamed rose is Angela, also it grows into a spreading bush. Meryl had one and it got too big for her garden. I will see if it still has hips tomorrow. I will try to post a photo of it here.
I am doing something wrong here, will go back and read your instructions.

Re: Karen... Your 'Angela'...
Carole... no the flower above is from cuttings I got the other day from a different plant and so far have no roots. The parent plant was about 3-4ft tall and wide growing at a petrol station on the road to Smithton in NW Tas. This flower above is VERY old but is the only one I have.... just thought it might have been 'Angela'... the pink is a little faded and it doesn't have the same cupped flowers but I thought it might have been due to the age of the flower that these features varied because it resembles the plant in some respects.
Karen, you can't just paste a picture here into your reply. Have you got photobucket? This is an easy way to get photos on here.

I'm afraid I'm the confused one David? Why are you confused? And... I don't have a clue who our VIC lurker is? That's what you get for going public viewing again. Did you see our spammer? I bounced him/her straight away but again... that's what happens when you open the doors.

Re: Karen... Your 'Angela'...
I tried making you a video tutorial Karen... as I have downloaded some new software... but the file turned out to be enormous... so I am back to the drawing board again... will keep on trying though as I think the video tutorial is a good idea. I look forward to seeing your pics. PM me your phone number and I will give you a call and talk you through the process one evening if you like
