When did this happen Cheryl
Please accept our deepest condolences.
Where do you want to plant it Cheryl? At your place? The cemetary/crematorium? I think this plays a big part in deciding which rose works best as a memorial rose.

Re: Thee's Garden Blog
There is a pink HT called 'Mother's Love' available from big nurseries, eg Treloar's & Swanes'. 'Loving Memory' is a nice darkish red HT. 'Remember Me' is orange shades, wouldn't fit in my garden, but it was one that many Vic bushfire victims requested for their new gardens.
